1 RESOLUTION NO. 4198 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF COLTON PROHIBITING NEPOTISM. <br /> 3 <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 4 <br /> It is the policy of the City of Colton to hire and to promote <br /> 5 <br /> employees on the basis of merit. <br /> 6 <br /> The City Council directs that there shall be no favoritism in <br /> 7 <br /> hiring or promotion due to a person' s family relationships . Relatives of City <br /> 8 <br /> employees, officers or officials shall not be favored whatsoever. <br /> 9 <br /> The City Manager is directed to report to the City Council at its <br /> 10 <br /> next regular meeting in open session upon being contacted by any City employee, <br /> 11 <br /> officer or official in a manner which appears to be for the purpose of causing <br /> 12 <br /> the City Manager to violate the policy stated herein. <br /> 13 <br /> The City Manager is directed to furnish a copy of this Resolution <br /> 14 <br /> to each subordinate empowered to hire or promote and otherwise to act to carry <br /> 15 <br /> out the policy stated herein. <br /> 16 <br /> PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED this 2Oth day of April , 1982. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> I re,. <br /> 19 ALBE'T A.
