1 RESOLUTION NO. R-85-23 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT 3 BUDGET 4 WHEREAS, the City intends to support the City's goal to improve the City's traffic safety and infrastructure; and 5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton received Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) grant 6 funding from Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) in the amount of $96,000 for the preparation of comprehensive Safety Action Plan (Project); and 7 WHEREAS, the total cost of the Project is $120,000 and SS4A grant requires 20% local 8 match in the amount of$24,000 to be funded through Traffic Impact fund; and 9 WHEREAS, a budget appropriation not listed in the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. 10 11 NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED,AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON,AS FOLLOWS: 12 Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are 13 incorporated into this Resolution by reference. 14 Section 2 The City Council authorizes the following amendment for the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget: 15 Increase revenues by $96,000 in Miscellaneous Grant Fund account number 225-5886- 16 • 005; 17 • Appropriate $96,000 in Miscellaneous Grant Fund Professional Services Account Number 225-2462-6150-2350-0000-000 for the preparation of SS4A Safety Action Plan; 18 • Appropriate $24,000 from reserve balance in the Traffic Impact Fund to Professional 19 Services Account Number 249-2462-6150-2350-0000-000 for the preparation of SS4A Safety Action Plan. 20 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th DAY • EMBER 2023. 21 22 ��1' 1 - 111► ►t41, 23 Mayo 24 ATTEST: 25 26 STEPHANIE M.VARG 27 Deputy City Clerk 28
