considerations will be brought forward in a public report for Council consideration in conjunction with the approval process should a land acquisition recommendation be forthcoming. Factors being considered for a suitable site include location, access, topography, and traffic flows all relative to price. Big League Dreams initial objective is to assist staff in determining the optimum site, all factors considered, for a recommendation for purchase to the City Council. FINANCIAL IMPACT The initial cost of the agreement is $7,500 per month for four months to equate to a total of $30,000. The funding is to initially come from the General Fund unappropriated fund balance. At the City Council workshop for capital improvement program ( CIP ) appropriations on January 23, 2001, the unappropriated balance could be restored given an appropriation from the CIP reserve. Alternatively, staff anticipates ample General Fund revenue in excess of appropriations to be discussed at the mid -year budget report on February 20, 2001. An alternate adjustment could also be made at that time. The financial impacts relative to the ensuing cost of land and construction of a sports complex will be discussed once a site is brought before the City Council for consideration.
