O-11-23. <br />RECOMMENDED ACTION <br /> <br />Staff recommends that the City Council take the following action: <br /> <br />Introduce for first reading and pass by title only: O-11-23, CHAPTERS 18.49 (ADULT USE <br />REGULATIONS) OF TITLE 18 (ZONING) OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE BY <br />ADDING SECTION 18.49.170 OF THE COLTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO ESTABLISH <br />AMORTIZATION PERIODS FOR NONCONFORMING ADULT USES CITYWIDE (FILE <br />INDEX NO. DAP23-0004). <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND <br /> <br />The City of Colton adult business regulations were first developed in 1998. Over the years, the <br />City has updated the regulations from time to time in order to (1) comply with court decisions; <br />and (2) assure that there are a sufficient number of sites to locate an adult business in the City. <br /> <br />One provision that has been missing in the adult business regulations is an “amortization” <br />provision.
