RESOLUTION NO. R-98-23 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON 2 AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT BUDGET 3 WHEREAS, the City intends to support the City's goal to improve the City's traffic safety 4 and infrastructure; and 5 WHEREAS, the City intends to improve existing crosswalk at the intersections of Valley Blvd./4th St., Valley Blvd./Pennsylvania Ave., Rancho Ave./B St. and La Cadena/Fogg St.; and 6 WHEREAS, the City of Colton received Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP) 7 funding through Caltrans in the amount of $183,060 for HSIP Cycle 11 funded — Crosswalk Improvement Project - HSIPSL-5065(033); and 8 WHEREAS, the total cost of the Project is $203,400 and HSIP grant requires 10% local 9 match in the amount of$20,340 to be funded through Traffic Impact fund; and 10 WHEREAS, a budget appropriation not listed in the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. 11 NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED,AND ORDERED BY THE CITY 12 COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, AS FOLLOWS: 13 Section 1 The Recitals preceding in this Resolution are true and correct and are incorporated into this Resolution by reference. 14 Section 2 The City Council authorizes the following amendment for the Fiscal Year 15 2023/2024 budget: 16 • Increase revenues by $183,060 in account number 225-5886-002; 17 • Appropriate$183,060 in account number 225-2463-6150-3890-0000-000 for HSIP Cycle 11 —Crosswalk Improvement Project- HSIPSL-5065(033); 18 • Appropriate $20,340 from reserve balance in Traffic Impact Fund to account number 19 249-2463-6150-3890-0000-000 for the preparation of HSIP Cycle 11 — Crosswalk Improvement Project- HSIPSL-5065(033). 20 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 7th DAY OF NOVEMBER 2023. 21 22 `I , 23 Agg. 24 Mayor 25 ATTEST: 26 27 /2 STEPHANIE M.
