1 RESOLUTION NO. R-99-23 <br /> 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ALLOWING THE SUBMISSION <br /> 3 OF THE CA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION-CONTINUED FUNDING <br /> 4 APPLICATION (CDE-CFA) FOR THE EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION <br /> DIVISION OF THE COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR FY 24-25 <br /> 5 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Colton, Early Childhood Education Division of the Community <br /> 6 Services Department holds one(1)California Department of Education(CDE)Contract and one <br /> 7 (1) California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Contract, thus considered a CDE and <br /> CDSS Funded Agency. <br /> 8 <br /> WHEREAS, The ECE Division submits the "Continued Funding Application" (CFA) every <br /> 9 Fiscal Year to CDE to renew the aforementioned CDE Contract. In some previous years,Board <br /> 10 Approval and a Resolution were neither required nor part of the CFA Packet. The signatory <br /> authority previously granted to the City Manager, who is the Executive Director of ECE was <br /> 1 sufficient. Starting in FY 23-24, the CFA requirements changed. Now, Board Approval and a <br /> 12 Resolution are required with the CFA submission. <br /> 13 WHEREAS, similar to FY 23-24, CSPP contractors who apply for and are approved for <br /> Continued Funding will not need to sign and return a CSPP contract to provide services for FY <br /> 14 2024-25. CSPP contractors who apply for and are approved for Continued Funding through the <br /> 15 CFA process will be automatically renewed in accordance with all applicable federal and state <br /> laws, as well as all CSPP Funding Terms and Conditions and Program Requirements that will <br /> 16 be incorporated into the FY 2024-25 CSPP contract. <br /> 17 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br /> 18 HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1: The staff report accompanying this Resolution is found to be true,adopted <br /> 19 <br /> as findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br /> 20 Section 2: The City approves the City Manager to sign the CA Department of <br /> Education-Continued Funding Application for FY 24-25. <br /> 21 <br /> PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 21st DAY OF N I EMBER 2023. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 �►' . _ <br /> • <br /> 25 <br /> ATTEST <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> STE1 HANIE M.
