1 RESOLUTION NO. R-106-23 <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ALLOWING THE <br /> SUBMISSION OF THE CA DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND <br /> 3 RECREATION OUTDOOR EQUITY GRANTS PROGRAM GRANT <br /> FUNDS APPLICATION FOR THE RECREATION DIVISION OF THE <br /> 4 COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT <br /> 5 WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation has been delegated the <br /> 6 responsibility by the Legislature of the State of California for the administration of the Outdoor <br /> Equity Grants Program, setting up necessary procedures governing the application; and, <br /> 7 <br /> WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State Department of Parks and Recreation <br /> 8 require the'Applicant to certify by resolution the approval of the application before submission <br /> of said application to the State; and, <br /> 9 <br /> to WHEREAS, successful Applicants will enter into a contract with the State of California to <br /> complete the Grant Scope program; <br /> 11 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE <br /> 12 CITY COUNCIL,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 13 Section 1: Certifies that said Applicant has or will have available, prior to commencement of <br /> any work on the program(s) included in this application, the sufficient funds to complete the <br /> 14 program(s); and <br /> 15 Section 2: Certifies that if the grant is awarded,the Applicant has or will have sufficient funds <br /> to operate the program(s) as described in the Grant Selection Criteria response, and <br /> 16 <br /> Section 3: Certifies that the Applicant has reviewed, understands, and agrees to the General <br /> 17 Provisions contained in the contract shown in the Grant Administration Guide; and <br /> 18 Section 4: Delegates the authority to the City Manager to conduct all negotiations, sign and <br /> submit all documents, including, but not limited to applications, agreements, amendments, and <br /> 19 payment requests, which may be necessary for the completion of the Grant Scope; and <br /> 20 Section 5: Agrees to comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws, ordinances,rules, <br /> regulations and guidelines. <br /> 21 <br /> PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY F D CEMBER 2023. <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 VA O <br /> Mayor <br /> 25 ATTES <br /> 26 <br /> V/7 <br /> 27 <br /> S PHANIE M.
