• RESOLUTION NO. R-103-23 1 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2023/2024 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT 3 BUDGET FOR THE RECHE CANYON ROAD REALIGNMENT TO 4 HUNTS LANE PROJECT 5 WHEREAS, the City of Colton ("City") is a municipal corporation duly organized and existing pursuant to the Constitution and laws of the State of California; and, 6 7 WHEREAS, the City intends to support the City's goal to improve the City's traffic safety and infrastructure; and, 8 WHEREAS, the City of Colton received Federal Consolidated Appropriation Act of 9 2023 — Highway Infrastructure Program funding through Caltrans in the amount of 10 $4,166,000 for the Preliminary Engineering, Right of Way and Construction phases of Reche Canyon Road Realignment to Hunts Lane Project; and, 11 WHEREAS, the federal funding requires 20% local match that will be provided thru 12 Regional Traffic Impact Fee fund in the amount of $454,094 (43.6%) and Arterial 13 Measure I in the amount of$587,406 (56.4%); and, 14 WHEREAS, a budget appropriation not listed in the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget is required and must be approved by resolution of the City Council. 15 16 NOW,THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED,AND ORDERED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE DISTRICT, AS FOLLOWS: 17 Section 1 The above recitals are true and correct. 18 19 Section 2 The City Council authorizes the following amendment for the Fiscal Year 2023/2024 budget: 20 • Increase revenues by $4,166,000 in account number 225-5886-002; 21 22 • Appropriate $4,166,000 in account number 225-1701-6150-3890-0000 for the Reche Canyon Road Realignment to Hunts Lane Project; 23 • Increase appropriation in account number 249-1000-1000-5993-0004-450 by 24 $454,094 to fund the project: 25 • Increase revenue by $454,094 in account number 450-5993-249; 26 • Appropriate $454,094 in account number 450-1701-6900-3890-0000 for the Reche Canyon Road Realignment to Hunts Lane Project; 27 • Increase appropriation in account number 218-1000-1000-5993-0004-450 by 28 $587,406 to fund the project;
