1 RESOLUTION NO. R-107-23 <br /> 2 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br /> AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF ONE OR MORE APPLICATIONS <br /> 3 SPECIFICALLY NAMED CALRECYCLE GRANT (S) OR FOR ALL <br /> CALRECYCLE GRANTS FOR WHICH THE APPLICANT IS ELIGIBLE <br /> 4 AND AUTHORIZE THE EXECUTION OF APPLICATION-RELATED <br /> DOCUMENTS BY THE CITY MANAGER OR HIS DESIGNEE <br /> 5 <br /> WHEREAS,Public Resources Code sections 48000 et seq. authorize the Department of <br /> 6 Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) to administer various grant programs (grants) <br /> in furtherance of the State of California's (state) efforts to reduce, recycle and reuse solid waste <br /> 7 generated in the state thereby preserving landfill capacity and protecting public health and safety <br /> 8 and the environment; and <br /> WHEREAS,in furtherance of this authority CalRecycle is required to establish procedures <br /> 9 governing the application, awarding, and management of the grants; and <br /> WHEREAS, CalRecycle grant application procedures require, among other things, an <br /> 10 applicant's governing body to declare by resolution certain authorizations related to the <br /> administration of CalRecycle grants. <br /> 11 <br /> 12 NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED, AND ORDERED BY THE <br /> CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> 13 SECTION 1. that the City Manager or their designee, is hereby authorized and empowered <br /> to execute in the name of the City of Colton all grant documents, including but not limited to, <br /> 14 applications, agreements, amendments and requests for payment, necessary to secure grant <br /> 15 funds and implement the approved grant project; and <br /> 16 PASSED,APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 5th D OF ECEMBER 2023. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 N N VARR <br /> Mayor <br /> 20 ATTEST: <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> a AZ.N. <br /> 23 S EPHANIE M.
