FUTURE PROFESSIONAL LEADERS <br />A GROWTH IN SERVICE STUDENT CLUB <br />PURPOSE: The primary purpose is to identify students who <br />demonstrate ability, maturity and desire to <br />succeed for the purpose of making life better for <br />themselves, their families and the <br />community. <br />ORGANIZATION: The club has two chapters. The young men's chapter is <br />the SIGMA BETA CLUB. The youn women's <br />chapter is the PHI BETA CLUB. Each club <br />has its own officer organization but both <br />operate under the Future <br />Professional Leader name. There will be a <br />committee made up of officers from each <br />club who will be the primary management <br />body. <br />SPONSORS: Each chapter most have their own adivisors that will be <br />co-sponsors for each club and will advise jointly in all <br />matters. <br />ACTIVITIES: There are six components to the activities of the <br />club. The outline that follows gives details of these <br />activities. <br />1. COMMUNITY SERVICE - AWARENESS AND <br />PARTICIPATION <br />A Participation in community activities <br />B. Creating and doing community service <br />C. Assist in the education of younger students <br />2. DEVELOP "STAYING POWER" TO REACH EDUCATIONAL <br />GOAL <br />A. Develop support systems for now and forever <br />- Introduction to professionals <br />- Information and understanding of college and <br />alumni support groups. <br />- Interaction with similar groups at other schools <br />- Participate in activities enhancing family values <br />B. Re -enforce success slalls <br />- Understand requirements for success <br />- Learn successful study and work habits <br />3. LEARN AND PRACTICE LEADERSHIP SKILLS <br />
