R-22-01 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF COLTON, CALIFORNIA, CERTIFYING <br />THE . CITY WILL SUSTAIN ITS LEVEL OF <br />EXPENDITURES FOR TRANSPORTATION <br />PURPOSES - <br />WHEREAS, AB 2928, known as the Transportation Congestion Relief Fund, <br />provides approximately $1 billion directly to cities and counties for preservation, <br />maintenance and rehabilitation of the local street and road system; and, <br />WHEREAS, the City of Colton is in receipt of $337,380.25 for fiscal year <br />2000-2001; and, <br />WHEREAS, use of these funds imposes an MOE provision (per Government <br />Code Section 14556.26) which requires cities to maintain their current level of general <br />fund expenditures for transportation purposes; and, <br />WHEREAS, the formula is calculated on the average over the last three years <br />(1996-97, 1997-98 and 1998-99) of city expenditures from the general fund for street, <br />road and highway purposes,- <br />NOW, <br />urposes, <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of <br />Colton, California will sustain its level of general fund expenditures for transportation <br />purposes in compliance with Government Code Section 14556.26. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of March, 2001. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA P.
