AGENDA REPORT <br />For City Council Meeting of APRIL 3, 2001 <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S APPROVAL: <br />Date: 3 f a -F0/ <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />(Continued) <br />Signature: cfR C <br />$460,000.00 from the Public Works CIP fund was approved for funding of the 2000-2001 Pavement <br />Rehabilitation Project — Phase Il at the CIP Workshop meetings of February 13, 2001 and February 20, <br />2001. <br />The Utilities Department is funding the rehabilitation of Bryton Court, Bryn Mawr Court and Norman <br />Road, which were included in the 2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project — Phase 11 at the request <br />of the Utilities Department. Water/sewer lines were recently replaced/repaired in said streets. The <br />Utilities Department's costs for the above noted streets based upon the Unit Costs submitted by Matich <br />Corporation, will be a maximum of $60,000.00. <br />A request from Ken Hubbs Baseball League to have their parking lot at Max Lofy Park rehabilitated has <br />also been included in the 2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project — Phase 11; said rehabilitation to be <br />funded by former Councilwoman/Mayor Betty Cook's remaining District 4 CIP funds. The cost for this <br />rehabilitation based upon the Unit Costs submitted by Matich Corporation, will be a maximum of <br />$12,000.00. <br />Breakdown of available funds for the 2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project — Phase II. <br />Public Works CIP funds: $460,000.00 <br />Utilities Department CIP funds $ 60,000.00 <br />District 4 CIP funds: $ 12,000.00 <br />Total Available Funds: $532,000.00 <br />$459,459.00 Contract Award <br />$ 72,541.00 Contingency Fund <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />• Staff _recommends the Contract for the 2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project — Phase 11 be <br />awarded to Matich Corporation, Inc. in the amount of $459,459.00. <br />• Staff recommends the remaining $72,541.00 Public Works CIP funding be held in contingency <br />until the completion of the 2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project — Phase iI. <br />Attachment: A copy of the Project Description, from the Contract Documents and Specifications for the <br />2000-2001 Pavement Rehabilitation Project — Phase 11 has been included to indicate the <br />type of rehabilitation and the location of each of the various portions of the project. <br />Report prepared by Dusty Dappen, Engineering Tech II <br />Page 2 of 2 Item No. <br />
