CITY OF COLTON
AGENDA REPORT
FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF May 1, 2001
TO: Honorable Mayor & City Council
APPROVAL: Henry Garcia, City Manager
FROM: Ronald C. Kenny, Parks, Recreation & Family Services Director
SUBJECT: Use of Fleming Park & Band Shell by Vineyard Christian Fellowship
for a Community Outreach, June 9, 2001, from 10:00 a.m. to
6:00 p.m.
DATE: April 23, 2001
BACKGROUND:
The Vineyard Christian Fellowship is requesting the use of Fleming Park & Band Shell
for a Community Outreach, on Saturday, June 9, 2001.
DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS:
The setting at Fleming Park & Band Shell will create a nice background for this special
event. Vineyard Christian Fellowship will be sponsoring a free Bar-B-Que and Christian
Concert for the community. There will also be a moon bounce, face painting, balloons
and games for the children.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This is a non-scheduled workday for all city staff and there will be minimal financial
impact involving staff hours. Since the Parks, Recreation & Family Services Department
maintains the park, staff time expended will be covered from the existing 2000/2001
budget. There will be no additional financial impact to the General Fund.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
None.
LEGAL REVIEW:
City Attorney
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the request by the Vineyard Christian Fellowship for the
use of Fleming Park & Band Shell on Saturday, June 9, 2001 for a community outreach.
Item #10
