1 RESOLUTION NO, 2449 <br /> 2 <br /> • <br /> WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Colton did <br /> 3 <br /> through its Resolution No, 395 submit the following recommendation to the <br /> 4 <br /> City Council. <br /> 5 <br /> That the applicat ion of Anna E. Hyland for the rezoning of the parcel <br /> 6 <br /> of land situated at 1089 Rancho be denied for reasons set forth in its Resolution <br /> 7 <br /> Nos 395. <br /> 8 <br /> WHEREAS, on the 28th day of February, 1964, Mrs. Hyland did <br /> 9 <br /> submit to the City Council an appeal on the decision of the Planning Commission <br /> 10 <br /> and <br /> 11 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council gave Notice of Public Hearing as re- <br /> 12 <br /> quired by law, and <br /> 13 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Council did hold said Public Hearing on the 16th <br /> 14 <br /> day of March, 1964 to consider the application for Change of Zone, and <br /> 15 <br /> WHEREAS, numerous protests both oral and written were submitted <br /> 16 <br /> by property owners in the area who expressed the desire to retain the present <br /> 17 <br /> zoning, <br /> 18 <br /> NOW,,, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the <br /> 19 <br /> City of Colton that the application for Zone Change at 1089 North Rancho Avenue <br /> 20 <br /> from R-1 to C-1 Zone be and it is hereby denied as it appears to the City Council <br /> 21 <br /> that the public interest, necessity, convenience and general welfare will best <br /> 22 <br /> be served by denying the request for rezoning as recommended by the Planning <br /> 23 <br /> Commission, <br /> 24 <br /> It is the opinion of Council Members that the Zone Change would <br /> 25 <br /> constitute spot zoning and as such is not desirable for the best interest of the <br /> 26 <br /> 27 City; therefore the application is hereby denied without prejudice. <br /> 28 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was duly adoptedby <br /> the City Council at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council held on the <br /> 29. <br /> 16th day of March 1964 by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> 30 <br /> AYES: Councilmen Rimbaugh, Kaney, Holtzendorff, Spragins, Oliva <br /> 31 NOES: Councilmen None <br /> 32 _ <br /> City Gle�rk <br />
