mw- <br /> • i <br /> 1 RESOLUTION NO, 2455 <br /> 2 PUBLIC HEARING ON WEED ABATEMENT <br /> 3 <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City <br /> 4 <br /> of Colton, California on the 16th day of March, 1964, declaring weeds <br /> 5 <br /> growing upon the streets or sidewalks or upon private property and rubbish, <br /> 6 <br /> refuse or dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or private property within the City <br /> 7 <br /> of Colton to be a Public Nuisance and providing for the abatement therefore, <br /> 8 <br /> and <br /> 9 <br /> WHEREAS, the City Clerk was directed to cause to be mailed to the <br /> 10 <br /> owners of the property on which or in front of which such nuisance exists in <br /> 11 <br /> accordance with the provisions of the Weed Abatement Law (Chapter 130 <br /> 12 <br /> Title 4, Division 3, Government Code and Amendments thereto) of the State <br /> 13 <br /> of California, and <br /> 14 <br /> WHEREAS, said notices have been mailed in accordance with said act <br /> 15 <br /> as set forth in the affidavit of the City Clerk on file in her office; and <br /> 16 <br /> WHEREAS, said Resolution and Notices fixed, determined and de- <br /> 17 <br /> Glared that a hearing would be held on the 21st day of April, 1964, in the <br /> 18 <br /> Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Colton, California at the hour of <br /> P 19 <br /> 20 7:30 p.m. of said day, at which time any person having any objection or pro- <br /> test to make concerning the removal and destruction of said weeds, rubbish, <br /> 21 <br /> 22 refuse or dirt may appear and be heard, and <br /> 23 WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such notice a hearing was <br /> duly held by this City Council and all persons desiring to be heard thereon <br /> 24 <br /> 25 were heard and the City Council gave all persons present an opportunity to <br /> be heard; <br /> 26 <br /> 27 NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City <br /> 28 of Colton as follows: <br /> 29 The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that notices <br /> for the destruction of said weeds and the removal of rubbish, refuse or dirt <br /> 30 <br /> 31 have been mailed in the form and manner prescribed by the aforesaid act and <br /> 32 that said notices were in the form and substance required by said act and in <br />
