1 RESOLUTION NO, 2457 <br /> 2 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Colton has since 1956 been turning over part of <br /> 3 <br /> its sales tax revenue to San Bernardino County to assist the County in paying <br /> 4 <br /> principal and interest payments on the $8, 000, 000 County Building Bond Issue <br /> 5 <br /> Program; and <br /> 6 <br /> WHEREAS, the amount turned over by the city was decreased from the <br /> 7 <br /> original 10 percent to 7 and 1/2 percent in 1958 since that percentage was then <br /> 8 <br /> adequate to cover principal and interest payments; and <br /> 9 <br /> WHEREAS, it is now determined by the City Council that a 5 percent <br /> 10 <br /> 11 sharing of city sales taxes would be adequate in conjunction with a similar <br /> 12 percentage contribution by the other cities of the County to meet the full <br /> 13 principal and interest costs of said bond program; <br /> 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City <br /> 15 of Colton does go on record as declaring its intention to reduce its sharing <br /> 16 with San Bernardino County to 5 percent of the sales taxes collected within the <br /> 17 City of Colton. <br /> 18 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 27th day of April, 1964„ <br /> 19 <br /> zi)(11- -4-_ (f-d--e54 <br /> a or <br /> 20 <br /> 21 ATTEST: �/" <br /> 22 City 'Cte r , of the of <br /> y � ity <br /> 23 Colton, ,California <br /> 24 I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing resolution was adopted by the <br /> 25 City Council of the City of Colton at a special meeting thereof held on the <br /> 26 27th day of April, 1964 by the following vote, to-wit: <br /> 27 AYES: Councilmen Coltrin , Kaney , Holtzendorff,, Spragins <br /> 28 NOES: Councilmen None <br /> 29 ABSENT: Councilman Oliva <br /> cele <br /> 30 ity Jerk <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
