c/ <br /> r VIA CC re5,1 ( <br /> RESOLUTION NO<, <br /> 2 WHEREAS, by Public Law 655, 84th Congress (70 Stat.49'3) the <br /> 3 Federal Government has authorized the donation of surplus Federal <br /> 4 property for civil defense purposes ; and <br /> 5 WHEREAS, certain conditions are imposed by the Federal <br /> 6 Government, the California Disaster Office and the Surplus <br /> 7 Property division of the State Department of Education in <br /> 8 connection with the acquisition of such property; and <br /> 9 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton desires to <br /> 10 establish its eligibility for such property;. and <br /> 11 WHEREAS, the City Council has recently reorganized its <br /> 12 civil defense staff; <br /> 13 NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED by the City Council of said <br /> 14 City that the following Officials of the City of Colton that <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 shall be and are hereby authorized as the representatives of said <br /> 20 City of Colton to sign for and accept surplus Federal property <br /> 21 in accordance with the conditions imposed by the above agencies ; <br /> 22 and <br /> 23 IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of this Council is <br /> 24 hereby authorized and directed to send three (3) Certified Copies <br /> 25 of this Resolution to the California Disaster Office, for filing <br /> 26 with said. Disaster Office; and <br /> 27 IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that this Resolution of authorization <br /> 281 shall remain in full force and effect until superseded or rescinded, <br /> 29 by resolution of the Council transmitted in triplicate to the <br /> 30 California Disaster Office. <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
