CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 5, 2001 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: David Michael Davis, City Librarian pop <br />SUBJECT: Request for Recruitment and Ratification of Employee Appointment <br />to the Full-time Position of Library Clerk I in the Library Department <br />DATE: May 17, 2001 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />There is a need to fill one (1) Library Clerk I position in the Library Department. The <br />salary range is $1561 - $1898 per month. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />This full-time position is currently vacant. The position is being filled by temporary <br />agency personnel. Upon Council approval, recruitment for the position of Library Clerk I <br />will be conducted and an eligibility list established. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />Funding availability for this approved general fund position in the fiscal year 2000/2001 <br />budget is as follows: Account No. 100-6250-6250-1010 (salary) and Account No. 100- <br />6250-6250-1100 (related benefits). <br />EXPECTED FILL DATE: <br />As soon as possible. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends approval of the recruitment and ratification of the employee <br />appointment to the full-time position of Library Clerk I as recommended by the City <br />Librarian.
