R-12-24 <br /> 2 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ALLOWING THE RECEIPT <br /> 3 OF FUNDS TO THE EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION DIVISION OF THE <br /> 4 COMMUNITY SERVICES DEPARTMENT VIA THE CALIFORNIA <br /> , DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION AND SB 140 <br /> 5 <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Colton, Early Childhood Education (ECE) Division of the <br /> 6 <br /> Community Services Department (CSD) holds one (1) California Department of Education <br /> 7 (CDE) Contract, and one (1) California Department of Social Services (CDSS) Contract, thus <br /> 8 considered a CDE and CDSS Funded Agency. <br /> WHEREAS, CDE, with Senate Bill 140, is authorized to award funds for payments to <br /> 9 state-funded child care centers. <br /> 10 WHEREAS,the ECE Division has received a check in the amount of$51,360 <br /> WHEREAS, the ECE Division intends to add this amount to funds in order to plan, <br /> 1 create, and install a second restroom with child-sized toilets and a hand-washing station for our <br /> 12 Paul J. Rogers Child Development Center. <br /> 13 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON DOES <br /> 14 HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS <br /> Section 1: The staff report accompanying this resolution is found to be accurate, <br /> 15 adopted as findings, and incorporated into this resolution. <br /> 16 Section 2: City approves the CDE SB 140 Funds. <br /> Section 3: In order to account for this funding, City Council hereby approves <br /> 17 amending the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 budget to increase revenues and appropriations as follows: <br /> 18 REVENUE: Account Number 206-5774-001 <br /> EXPENDITURES: Account Number 206-7200-7210-3890-001 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 <br /> PASSED,APPROVED,AND ADOPTED THIS 5th DAY 0 • _ RCH 2024. <br /> 21 <br /> 22 i i <br /> 23 My19 A TAFRRO <br /> 24 Mayor <br /> ATTEST: <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 1tA- <br /> 27 STEPHANIE M.
