Ij 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2587 2 RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE BEEN INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY 3 OF COLTON TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND 4 DESIGNATED "EAST COLTON ANNEXATION NO. 23 " AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION. 5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON: 6 1. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of 7 Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been initiated 8 by the Council of the City of Colton, on its own motion, to annex 9 to the City of Colton all that uninhabited territory situate in 10 the County of San Bernardino, State of California, hereby designated 11 as "East Colton Annexation No. 23 " and described as follows, to wit: 12 Being portions of Lots 7, 8, and 9, Block 54, 13 Rancho San Bernardino, as per plat recorded in Book 7 of Maps, Page 2 in the office of 14 the Recorder, County of San Bernardino, State of California, described as follows : 15 Beginning at the Northeast corner of said 16 Lot 9, Block 54 of said Rancho; thence Westerly along the North line of said Lot 9, to an 17 intersection with the West line of the West four acres of the East eight acres of the North half 18 of said Lot 9, Block 54, said intersection being the true point of beginning ; thence continuing 19 Westerly along said North line of Lot 9, being also along the City of Colton boundary, to an 20 intersection with a line that is parallel with and distant 2J0 feet west of the West line of 21 said East eight acres of the North half of said Lot 9, Block 54; thence Southerly along said 22 parallel line, being also along said City boundary, to an intersection with a line parallel with, and 23 distant 244 feet North of the center line of "F" Street, also known as Colton Avenue, 50 feet wide; 24 thence Westerly along said parallel line, being also along said City boundary, to an intersection 25 with a line bearing North 16° 37 ' 30" East from a point located 232 .74 feet East of the Southwest 26 corner of the North one half of said Lot 8, Block 54 ; Thence North 16° 37 ' 30 " East along said line, being 27 also along said City boundary, to an intersection with the North line of said Lot 8, Block 54; Thence 28 Westerly along said North line of Lot 8, and the North line of said Lot 7, Block 54, to an inter- 29 section with a line parallel with and distant 66 feet West of the East line of said Lot 7, Block 54; 30 thence Southerly along said parallel line, being also along said City of Colton boundary, to an 31 intersection with the South line of said Lot 7, Block 54; thence Easterly along said South line 32 and the South line of said Lot 8, Block 54, being
