1 RESOLUTION NO. 2578 <br /> 2 RESOLUTION TERMINATING PROCEEDINGS WITH <br /> RESPECT TO SOUTH COLTON ANNEXATIONS <br /> 3 NO. 14 AND 15 AS PROVIDED IN RESOLUTION NO,2569. <br /> 4 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Colton did in its Resolutions <br /> 5 No. 2555 and No, 2556 declare that proceedings had been initiated by the <br /> 6 Council to annex to the City certain uninhabited territory designated South <br /> 7 Colton Annexation Numbers 14 and 15 and giving notice that Tuesday, June 15, <br /> 8 1965 at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center <br /> 9 was the time and place fixed when and where any person owning real property <br /> 10 within the uninhabited territory above described may appear before said City <br /> 11 Council and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not be annexed, <br /> 12 and <br /> 13 WHEREAS, at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1965 <br /> 14 at 7:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center said time and place <br /> 15 fixed in Resolutions No, 2555 and 2556 for hearing protests or objections, and <br /> 16 WHEREAS, City Council did hear and pass on all protests made to the <br /> 17 proposed annexations and did determine that a majority protest had not been <br /> 18 made, <br /> 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council, of the <br /> 20 City of Colton that a majority protest to the proposed annexations has not <br /> 21 been made and the City Council does further resolve that said annexation be <br /> 22 and it is hereby considered abandoned and the matter closed as provided in <br /> 23 Section 35007 of the Government Code. <br /> 24 PASSED, ADOPTED AND APPROVED the 15th day of June, 1965. <br /> 25 ( ! • <br /> 26 ;' ayor <br /> 27 ATTEST: /. <br /> 28 ( r % ..: -�� --_ __` r <br /> Gity Giek <br /> 29 <br /> 30 <br /> 31 <br /> 32 <br />
