■ 1 RESOLUTION NO, 2572 2 A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITOR r, 3 DESIGNATED "SOUTH COLTON ANNEXATION NO. 16" TO THE CITY OF COLTON, 4 I BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLTON: 5 6 WHEREAS, on the 1st day of June, 1965 the Council did pass and adopt Resolution No. 2567 giving notice of the proposal to annex certain uninhabited 7 territory being therein designated as "South Colton Annexation No. 16" to the 8 City of Colton, said Resolution describing the boundaries of the territory pro- 9 posed to be annexed; and 10 WHEREAS, said Resolution No. 2567 did contain a notice of the day, 11 hour and place when and where the Council of the City of Colton would hear 12 protests made by owners of property within the City of Colton but not within 13 the territory to be annexed, the time of said hearing to be not more than 30 14 days after passage o_' said resolution, (Section 35310. 1 GC) and 15 WHEREAS, at a regular meeting held on the 15th day of June, 1965 at 16 7:30 p.m. , in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North 17 8th Street in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, State of California, 18 said time and place being the days, hour and place fixed in Resolution No, 2567 19 for hearing protests to said annexation, the said City Council did hear and 20 pass on all protests made to the proposed annexation and did determine that 21 sufficient protest have not been made by the owners of property within the City 22 who do not own property in the territory proposed to be annexed, and 23 WHEREAS, said territory is contiguous to the City of Colton and is 24 uninhabited territory in the County of San Bernardino; 25 NOW, THEREFORE, the said Council of the City of Colton does hereby 26 approve the annexation of the territory hereinafter described, to the City of 27 Colton and does hereby further ordain that the said territory be and is hereby 28 annexed to the City of Colton. 29 That the said territory, the annexation of which to the City of Colton 30 is hereby approved, is all that territory situate in the County of San Bernardino, 31 State of California more particularly described as follows: 32
