!1 <br /> 1 RESOLUTION NO, 2559 <br /> 2 PUBLIC HEARING ON WEED ABATEMENT <br /> 3 <br /> WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of <br /> 4 Colton, California on the 16th day of March, 1965, declaring Weeds growing <br /> 5 upon the streets or sidewalks or upon private property and rubbish, refuse <br /> 6I <br /> or dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or private property within the City of <br /> 7 Colton to be a Public Nuisance and providing for the abatement therefore; and <br /> 8 WHEREAS, the City Clerk, was directed to cause to be mailed to the <br /> 9 owners of the property on which or in front of which such nuisance exists in <br /> 10 accordance with the provisions of the Weed Abatement Law (Chapter 13, <br /> 11 Title 4, Division 3, Government Code and amendments thereto) of the State <br /> 12 of California, and <br /> 13 WHEREAS, said notices have been mailed in accordance with said act <br /> 14 as set forth in the affidavit of the City Clerk on file in her office; and <br /> 15 WHEREAS, said Resolution and Notices fixed, determined and declared <br /> 16 that a hearing would be held on the 20th day of April, 1965 in the Council <br /> 17 Chambers in the Civic Center, Colton, California at the hour of 7:30 p.m. of <br /> 18 said day, at which time any person having any objection or protest to make <br /> 19 concerning the removal and destruction of said weeds, rubbish, refuse or <br /> 20 dirt may appear and be heard, and <br /> 21 WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such notice a hearing was <br /> 22 duly held by this City Council and all persons desiring to be heard thereon <br /> 23 were heard and the City Council gave all persons present an opportunity to <br /> 24 be heard; <br /> 25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City <br /> 26 of Colton as follows: <br /> ?7 The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare that notices <br /> 28 for the destruction of said weeds and the removal of rubbish, refuse or dirt <br /> 29 have been mailed in the form and manner prescribed by the aforesaid act and <br /> 30 that said notices were in the form and substance required by said act and in <br /> 31 every respect complied with the laws, pertaining thereto, <br /> 32 <br />
