1 thence south along the southerly prolongation of the east line of said Lot 1 to its intersection with the northerly right of way of the Gage 2 Canal prolonged northeasterly; thence southwesterly along the northerly right of way lint. oI said Liage Canal to its intersec,..,,: 3 with the centerline of Newport Avenue as shown on Map of Resub. of Grand Terrace as recorded in Record of Survey, Book No. 1, 4 Page 33, Records of said county; thence northwesterly along said centerline to its intersection with the centerline of Grand Avenue 5 of said Resub; thence southwesterly along said centerline of Grand Avenue following in various courses to its intersection with the 61 centerline of Vivienda Avenue of said Resub; thence in a north- westerly direction along the centerline of Vivienda Avenue following 7 its various courses to its intersection with the centerline of Terrace Avenue as said intersection is shown on map recorded in Book 17, 8 Page 90, Records of said County; thence north along the centerline of said Terrace Avenue to an intersection with a line which bears 9 south 85° 45' east from the point of beginning; thence north 85° 45' west along said line to the Point of Beginning., 10 2„ That the Council of the City of Colton desires to annex said unin- 11 habited territory to the City of Colton for the following reasons: The terri- 12 tory is contiguous to the City of Colton and its proposed annexation will 13 contribute to and facilitate the orderly growth and development of both the 14 City and the territory proposed to be annexed; will facilitate and contribute to 15 the proper and orderly layout, design and construction of streets, gutters, 16 sidewalks, sanitary and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both 17 within the City and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and will pro- 18 vide and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning of lands, and sub - 19 division of lands in said City and said uninhabited territory, in a manner most 20 conducive to the welfare of said City and said uninhabited territory. 21 22 3. That the County Boundary Commission of San Bernardino County, 23 California, did in session duly assembled on March 18, 1965, approve the proposed annexation boundaries of said "South Colton Annexation No. 14" and 24 2 that the Local Agency Formation Commission of San Bernardino County, 5 California, did in session duly assembled on April 7, 1965 approve the pro- 26 posed annexation boundaries of said "South Colton Annexation No. 14". 27 28 4. That Tuesday, June 15, 1965 at the hour of 7:30 p.m. in the 29 Council Chambers in the Civic Center located at 650 North 8th Street in the City of Colton, County of San Bernardino, California, is hereby fixed as the 30 31 time and place when and where any person owning real property within the 32 uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be annexed to the City of
