CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF October 15, 2002 <br />TO: Honorable Mayor and City Council <br />FROM: Dilu de Alwis, Finance Director <br />Item #10 <br />SUBJECT: Consider claims against the City of Colton submitted by: Erik Ballesters, Celia <br />Lawrence, Brian Graefe, Oralia, David, Michael, Christopher and Alexandria <br />Agredano. Recommend denial. <br />DATE: October 2, 2002 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />In accordance with the procedures adopted to insure proper and efficient handling of Liability <br />Claims against the City of Colton, the attached reports have been received from the City's Liability <br />Claims Administrator. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />The above Claimants have filed a claim against the City. Evaluation of these claims reflects that <br />these cases would be highly questionable or that there is no liability on the part of the City of <br />Colton. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff recommends that the above -listed claim be denied to commence with the Statute of <br />Limitations. <br />PREPARED BY: <br />Joanne Knowles, Risk Manager <br />Attachment: Carl Warren and Company — Recommendations <br />Claims: 10/15/02 Agenda <br />
