2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO.R-15- <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON, <br />AUTHORIZING THE SUBMITTAL OF ONE APPLICATION FOR THE SB1346 <br />UBBERIZED ASPHALT CONCRETE GRANT PROGRAM REQUESTING $50,000 <br />IN GRANT FUNDING. <br />WHEREAS, Public Resources Code Section (PRC) 42872.5 allows California <br />Integrated Waste Management Board (CIWMB) to award grants to public entities for funding <br />of public works project that use RAC (Rubberized Asphalt Concrete); and <br />WHEREAS, the CIWMB has been delegated the responsibility for the administration <br />of the RAC grant program, setting up necessary procedures governing application by local <br />governments under the program; and <br />WHEREAS, said procedures established by the CIWMB require the applicant to <br />certify, by resolution, approval of the application before submission of said application to the <br />State; and <br />WHEREAS, if awarded a grant, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the <br />State of California for development of the project; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Colton authorizes the submittal <br />of an application to the CIWMB for an SB 1346 Rubberized Asphalt Concrete Grant. The <br />City Manager or his/her designee, of the City of Colton is hereby authorized and empowered <br />to execute in the name of the City of Colton all necessary application, contracts, agreements, <br />amendments, and payment requests hereto for the purposes of securing grant funds and to <br />implement and carry out the purposes specified in the grant application. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 7`h DAY OF FEBRUARY 2006. <br />DEIRDRE H.
