The original employment agreement provided an automobile for the City Manager's use, and it <br />was subsequently amended to allow for a $500 automobile allowance. In practice, the City <br />Council has still previously authorized a lease for the City Manager's vehicle, since the first such <br />lease was less than $500. Most recently, the City Council authorized a new lease for the City <br />Manager's vehicle, and agreed to pay the first $500 towards the lease. The proposed <br />amendment documents this past practice by allowing either a lease or automobile allowance. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />There are sufficient funds available in the City Manager's budget to absorb this increase and no <br />drawdown of funds is required for the current fiscal year. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />No environmental impact is anticipated. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST – Gift Disclosure Requirements <br />Not applicable. <br />ALTERNATIVES: <br />Deny approval of the Fifth Amendment to the Employment Agreement between the City of <br />Colton and the City Manager. <br />2.
