It 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2680 2 PUBLIC HEARING ON WEED ABATEMENT 3 WHEREAS, a resolution was adopted by the City Council of 4 the City of Colton, California, on the 15th day of March 1966, 5 declaring weeds growing upon streets or sidewalks or upon private 6 property and rubbish, refuse or dirt upon parkways, sidewalks or 7 private property within the City of Colton to be a Public Nuisance 8 and providing for the abatement therefore, and 9 WHEREAS, the City Clerk was directed to cause to be mailed 10 to the owners of the property on which or in front of which such 11 nuisance exists in accordance with the Weed Abatement Law (Chapter 12 13, Title 4, Division 3, Government Code and amendments thereto) 13 of the State of California, and 14 WHEREAS, said notices have been mailed in accordance with 15 said act as set forth in the affidavit of the City Clerk on file 16 in her office; and 17 WHEREAS, said Resolution and Notices fixed, determined 18 and declared that a hearing would be held on the 19th day of April, 19 1966 in the Council Chambers in the Civic Center, Colton, 20 California at the hour of 7 : 30 p.m. of said day, at which time any 21 person having any objections or protest to make concerning the 22 removal and destruction of said weeds, rubbish, refuse or dirt may 23 appear and be heard, and 24 WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed in such notice a 25 hearing was duly held by this City Council and all persons desiring 26 to be heard thereon were heard and the City Council gave all per- 27 sons present an opportunity to be heard; 28 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the 29 City of Colton as follows : 30 The City Council does hereby find, determine and declare 31 that notices for the destruction of said weeds and the removal of 32 rubbish, refuse or dirt have been mailed in the form and manner 1
