The
program provides matching funds for the acquisition or development of lands and facilities that provide
for or support public outdoor recreation. The program will accept applications requesting a minimum of
$50,000 and a maximum request of $300,000.
DISC USSION/ANALYSIS:
Staff respectfully requests to submit an application requesting matching funds for the proposed Fleming
Park Restrooms Project. This park will provide for new restroom facilities at Fleming Park. The funding
request will be $150,000 and the City will provide the dollar per dollar match required.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The match will not financially impact the General Fund as $150,000 match required is available in bond
funds.
ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT:
Not Applicable.
CONFLICT OF INTEREST:
Not applicable.
RECOMMENDATION:
Staff recommends approval of the attached resolution authorizing the submittal of an application for the
'Land and Water Conservation Fund Program,' requesting $150,000 of grant funding.
Prepared by: Maritza Tapia — Administrative Analyst
Attachments: Resolution
REVIEW TEAM ONLY
City Attorney: M 40-10b,Finance Director:
City Manager: OTHER:
7,110/03 City Clerk', Office Cb
