ITEM #9 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF JUNE 06, 2006 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />FROM: AMER JAKHER, P.E., PW DIRECTOR / CITY ENGINEER <br />SUBJECT: AUTHORIZE THE NOTICE OF COMPLETION FOR IMPOUND <br />YARD PROJECT PHASE I AND II. <br />DATE: JUNE 06, 2006 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />On October 25, 2005 the City's Police Department submitted a resolution for Council approval to <br />construct a tow yard on a City owned lot located on Fogg Street, south of "M" Street. The <br />construction of this project will allow the Police Department to recover costs associated with towed <br />and stored vehicles which were impounded. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />The Impound Yard Construction Project will be completed in two phases. The scope of work <br />completed in the first phase included: design of the administrative building, property cleanup, <br />grading and installation of fencing. The second phase included the completion of the following <br />work: completion of fencing, paving, landscaping and installation of a temporary administration <br />building. <br />The construction for the Impound Yard Project Phase I and H was completed by the following <br />companies: <br />1. Cleanup and Grading Hardy and Harper, Inc. in the amount of $51,975.00. <br />2. Masonry wall CME builders in the amount of $52180.48. <br />3. Fine Grading and Paving Roquet Paving, Inc. Paving in the amount of $96,987.00. <br />4. Fencing by Lloyd's fence in the amount of $ 18,960.00 <br />5. Gates fabrication by Lloyd's Fence in the amount of $15,160.00 <br />6. Automated Gate operator installation by Automated Gate in the amount of $12,000.00 <br />7. Sewer lateral connection by Bike Mike's Plumbing Company in the amount of $15,000. <br />8. Security Cameras and Alarm installation by Pacific Alarm in the amount of ......... <br />
