DATE: JUNE 06, 2006 BACKGROUND: On October 25, 2005 the City's Police Department submitted a resolution for Council approval to construct a tow yard on a City owned lot located on Fogg Street, south of "M" Street. The construction of this project will allow the Police Department to recover costs associated with towed and stored vehicles which were impounded. ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: The Impound Yard Construction Project will be completed in two phases. The scope of work completed in the first phase included: design of the administrative building, property cleanup, grading and installation of fencing. The second phase included the completion of the following work: completion of fencing, paving, landscaping and installation of a temporary administration building. The construction for the Impound Yard Project Phase I and H was completed by the following companies: 1. Cleanup and Grading Hardy and Harper, Inc. in the amount of $51,975.00. 2. Masonry wall CME builders in the amount of $52180.48. 3. Fine Grading and Paving Roquet Paving, Inc. Paving in the amount of $96,987.00. 4. Fencing by Lloyd's fence in the amount of $ 18,960.00 5. Gates fabrication by Lloyd's Fence in the amount of $15,160.00 6. Automated Gate operator installation by Automated Gate in the amount of $12,000.00 7. Sewer lateral connection by Bike Mike's Plumbing Company in the amount of $15,000. 8. Security Cameras and Alarm installation by Pacific Alarm in the amount of .........
