CITY COUNCIL/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY/ <br />COLTON PUBLIC FINANCING AUTHORITY AND COLTON HOUSING AUTHORITY <br />REGULAR MEETING MINUTES <br />August 20, 2024 <br />Closed Session Meeting held on the above given date at 5:00 p.m., in the Council Chamber of City Hall, with <br />Mayor Navarro presiding. <br />CITY COUNCIL ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were Council Members Toro, Chastain, Gonzalez, Mayor Pro Tem Echevarria, and <br />Mayor Navarro. <br />STAFF PRESENT <br />City Manager Smith, City Attorney Marco, and Deputy City Clerk Vargas <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None <br />CLOSED SESSION <br />City Attorney Marco announced the City Council would meet in Closed Session to Discuss Items A, B, and C. <br />A. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL- EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) <br />In Re Aqueous Film -Forming Foams Products Liability Litigation <br />U.S. District Court, District of South Carolina, Case No. 2:18-mn-02873 <br />B. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION & POSSIBLE INITIATION OF <br />LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (1) And Government Code Section 54956.9(d) (4) <br />In re Smart Earth Technologies LLC et al <br />U.S, Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware, Case No. 23-11866(KBO) And <br />One Potential Case: City of Colton, et al. v. SET/Water IT LLC/Antonio Cabrera, President: <br />Breach of Contract Claims <br />C. CONFERENCE WITH LEGAL COUNSEL - EXISTING LITIGATION <br />Pursuant to Government Code Section 54956.9(d)(1) <br />City of Colton et al. v. Inland Memorial Inc.
