Effective January 1, 2007 the Tuition Reimbursement Program shall no longer be offered. <br />Section 10: Educational Incentive (College DeEree) <br />Effective January 1, 2007 the City will offer the following educational incentive pay: <br />AA Degree 1% <br />BA Degree 3% <br />MA Degree 5% <br />Employees shall receive the highest pay for which they are eligible, and may not combine or "stack" education pay. <br />(For example, an employee with an AA and a BA would only receive 3%; an employee with two BA's would only <br />get 3%). <br />Section 11: Social Securi <br />In the event the City and its employees are required to participate in the Federal Social Security program, the <br />contribution designated by law to be the responsibility of the employee shall be paid in full by the employee and the <br />City shall not be obligated to pay or 'pick up" any portion thereof. <br />Section 12: Medicare <br />Employees hired by the City on or after April 1, 1986, shall be required to pay the designated employee contribution <br />to participate in the Medicare Program and the City shall be under no obligation to pay or "pick-up" any such <br />contributions. <br />ARTICLE IV <br />LEAVES <br />Section 1: Vacation <br />A. Vacation time shall be deemed credited during this period with accrual affected upon the <br />employee's monthly anniversary date. Vacation accrual may be accumulated to not more than the appropriate <br />maximum accumulation except upon the written request of the affected employee and approval of the City Manager. <br />In this event, an employee may be permitted to exceed the maximum accumulation by an amount not in excess of his <br />accrual for a four-month period. <br />Page 15 of 21 <br />CPOA (Police) MOU 2006-2009 (2) <br />
