The Deputy City Clerk, Stephanie M. Vargas, submitted the Notice of Public Hearing (on file in the City <br />Clerk's Office) and confirmed that the notices were mailed and published in accordance with the law. <br />Staff Presentation <br />Richard Wall, City Attorney, presented for Council an overview of the agenda item and requested approval of <br />staff s recommendation. <br />Public Comment <br />None <br />Council Discussion <br />Councilmember Chastain asked for clarification; clarification was provide by City Attorney, Richard Wall. <br />The Deputy City Clerk confirmed that no written protests had been received. <br />Mayor Navarro asked if there were any persons registered to vote within annexation No. 2., of Community <br />Facilities District No. 2021-1, and if so, the number thereof. <br />The Deputy City Clerk confirmed that the San Bernardino Registrar of Voters has certified that there are no <br />registered voters within annexation No. 2 of Community Facilities District No. 2021-1. <br />The Deputy City Clerk confirmed that the owner of all of the taxable property in Annexation No. 2 of <br />Community Facilities District No. 2021-1 consented to holding the Special Election on September 17, 2024. <br />Motion and Second by CM Chastain/ CM Gonzalez to close the public hearing. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion Passes with CM Toro being absent <br />Motion and Second by CM Chastain/ MPT Echevarria to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-97-24. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion Passes with CM Toro being absent <br />The Deputy City Clerk conducted the special election and stated that all votes were in favor of the propositions <br />presented on the ballot. <br />Motion and Second by CM Chastain/ CM Gonzalez to approve and adopt Resolution No. R-96-24. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion Passes with CM Toro being absent <br />Motion and Second by CM Chastain/ CM Gonzalez to introduce by title only and waive further reading of <br />Ordinance No. 0-13-24. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion Passes with CM Toro being absent <br />September 17, 2024 Regular City Council Meeting 5 - <br />
