service businesses by attending trade shows, making cold <br />calls and advertising in trade journals. <br />1.1.6 Attend trade shows and/or advertise in industry <br />specific publications. <br />1.1.7 Establish site tours with brokers/real estate <br />representatives and/or developers with an emphasis on <br />the West Valley and Pellisier Ranch areas to solicit input <br />as well as to provide updates. <br />1.1.8 Explore the possibility of implementing a "Business <br />First" program that would move "key" businesses to the <br />front of the line for technical reviews and permit <br />processing. <br />1.1.9 Implement an E -Commerce type of City Hall to <br />allow prospective and existing businesses to obtain <br />information on available sites, notify City of issues (i.e. <br />graffiti), ask questions, apply for permits and to <br />communicate with City officials. <br />1.2 Objective - Encourage either retail oriented or other developments <br />that positively impact the General fund or City utility funds of the <br />remaining vacant parcels in the Cooley Ranch Area. <br />Performance Measures <br />1.2.1 Issue an RFP for the 11.2 acres owned by the <br />City with an emphasis on a use/business that will <br />contribute to the City's General Fund or utility funds <br />(i.e. high sales tax producer, high energy consumer, and <br />transient occupancy tax generator). <br />1.2.2 Work with the property owner of the northeast <br />corner of Valley and Santo Antonio to develop a project <br />Page 2 of 11 <br />
