Smith, City Manager <br />Carlos Campos, City Attorney <br />Stephanie M. Vargas, Chief Deputy City Clerk <br />Battalion Chief, Luke Granger, presented a Life Saving Award to David Jiorn, for performing lifesaving <br />actions during a medical emergency, which occurred on June 28, 2024. Granger explained the <br />circumstances of the incident and praised Jiorn for his willingness to assist and determination to continue <br />performing CPR until the paramedics arrived on scene. Granger acknowledged and recognized Dispatcher, <br />Judy Jacobson, who guided and instructed Jiorn over the phone during the incident. Granger went on to <br />recognized Paramedic Intern, Aaron Dane, with a Colton Fire Department Challenge Coin, for remaining <br />calm and for providing the paramedic care that resulted in saving a life. <br />• Proclamation - Public Power Week 2024 <br />CM Gonzalez presented a Proclamation declaring Public Power Week 2024 (October 6-12, 2024); accepted <br />by Electric Utility Director, Charles Berry, and Environmental Conservative Supervisor, Jessica Sutorus. <br />• Proclamation - Water Professionals Appreciation Week <br />CM Toro presented a Proclamation declaring Water Professionals Appreciation Week (October 5- 3, 2024); <br />accepted by Water/ Wastewater Superintendent, Bassam Alzammar, and Senior Energy Services Specialist, <br />Cecilia Griego. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING OF OCTOBER <br />01, 2024. <br />October 1, 2024 Regular City Council Meeting 2 - <br />
