R-132-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. R-59-06 <br />ADOPTED ON JUNE 12, 2006 REGARDING A REQUEST <br />TO THE LOCAL AGENCY FORMATION COMMISSION TO <br />INITIATE PROCEEDINGS FOR ANNEXATION OF <br />UNINCORPORATED "ISLAND" AREAS <br />WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Resolution R-59-06 on June <br />127 2006, requesting that the Local Agency Formation Commission ("LAFCO") for San <br />Bernardino County initiate proceedings for the annexation of the unincorporated "island" <br />areas (various parcels throughout the City's unincorporated sphere of influence) to the City <br />of Colton city limits; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council would like to repeal its adoption of Resolution R-59-06 <br />BE IT NOW THEREFORE RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. The City Council hereby rescinds its previous action to request <br />that LAFCO initiate the annexation proceedings described above and repeals Resolution <br />No. R-59-06. <br />SECTION 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. <br />SECTION 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its <br />adoption. <br />1 ATTEST: <br />Carolina P.
