CEREMONIAL MATTERS <br />• Proclamation - Colton Area Museum Day <br />CM Gonzalez presented a proclamation recognizing May 3, 2025 as "Colton Area <br />Museum Day." CM Gonzalez recognized the Museum Board members for their hard <br />work and willingness to serve their community in preserving the city's rich history. The <br />recognition was accepted by the Museum Board Members: President Oscar Toastado, <br />Lori Sanchez, Mary Helen Betancourt, Ruth Anne Martinez, and Angela Wilkenson. <br />Proclamation — 56' Annual Professional Municipal Clerks Week 2025 <br />Mayor Navarro read a Proclamation Certificate declaring May 4, 2025 - May 10, 2025 <br />Municipal Clerk' s Week, in recognition of the time honored and vital part of local <br />government that Municipal Clerks serve in throughout the world. Mayor Navarro also <br />extended appreciation to the City of Colton's Elected City Clerk, Isaac T. Suchil, as well <br />as to the City Clerk Office staff: Michelle Guillen, Maria Quijano, and Stephanie M. <br />Vargas. <br />• Recognition - Hometown Heroes Program: New Military Banner Installations <br />Heidi Strutz, Recreation Services Manager, recognized the New Military Banner <br />Memorial honorees by inviting their family members to come up to the podium, one by <br />one, to share a short biography of their honored loved ones, and to be presented with a <br />recognition certificate and a replica military banner. <br />Military Banner Honorees: <br />• Name: Alex Alanis <br />Branch: U.S Army <br />• Name: Michael Alanis <br />Branch: U.S Army <br />Name: Robert Chavez <br />Branch: U.S Navy <br />• Name: Keith Steele <br />Branch: U.S Army <br />• Name: Paul Ramirez <br />Branch: U.S Army <br />
