R-166-06 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON TO ACCEPT A GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF $50,541.60 <br />FROM THE OFFICE OF TRAFFIC SAFETY (OTS) AND AMEND <br />THE 2006/2007 FISCAL YEAR BUDGET <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing <br />July 1, 2006 and ending June 30, 2007 was approved and adopted June 20, 2006; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances <br />of the City of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, on September 29, 2006, the California State Office of Traffic Safety <br />(OTS) awarded a grant in the amount of $50,541.60 to the City of Colton Police <br />Department for the Sobriety / Driver's License Checkpoint Project as detailed in the OTS <br />Grant Application. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />SECTION 1. It is necessary to approve and accept this STATE OTS <br />TRAFFIC SAFETY GRANT in the amount of $50,541.60 to the Revenue Account 225- <br />5880-000. <br />SECTION 2. It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2006/2007 <br />Fiscal Year Budget, appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6072-1050 for <br />$50,541.60. <br />SECTION 3. The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and <br />incorporated herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of December, 2006. <br />ATTEST: <br />Carolina R.
