Public Hearings <br />1) Public Hearing - Right -of -Way Vacation - Time and Place Fixed to Consider a Public <br />Hearing To Approve and Adopt a Resolution of the City Council of Colton, California, to <br />Vacate Certain Portions of Right -of -Way, the Full Width of the Alley North of Valley <br />Boulevard, from Mt. Vernon Avenue to 280 Feet West of Mt. Vernon Avenue, and Certain <br />Portions of Right-of-way, Approximately 234 Square Feet, on the West Side of Mt. Vernon <br />Avenue North of Valley Boulevard, Resolution No. R-96-25. <br />Staff Person: Chad Blais <br />Public Hearing Opened <br />The Mayor announced the Public Hearing Open. <br />The City Clerk submitted the notice of Public Hearing (on file in the City Clerk's Office) and there <br />were no letters of opposition received for this item. <br />Staff Presentation <br />Victor Ortiz, Assistant Director of Public Works & Engineering, presented to Council an overview <br />of the agenda Item. <br />Public Comment <br />There were no public comments. <br />Public Hearing Closed <br />A motion was made to Close the Public Hearing by CM Gonzalez, with a second by CM Chastain. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion Passes <br />Council Discussion <br />Discernment and discussion between the Mayor and Council members present, with <br />clarification provided by staff: Victor Ortiz, Assistant Director of Public Works & Engineering and <br />Heidi Duran, Development Services Director. <br />Motion/Vote <br />A motion was made to approve the item by CM Gonzalez, with a second by CM Chastain. <br />Vote: Unanimous, Motion passes <br />
