Amendment No. 2 Mt. Vernon Construction Management Agreement <br />March 20, 2007 <br />Page 3 of 3 <br />To -date, all of the projects identified in the Construction Management Agreement have been <br />completed, with the exception of the Fairway Street Widening project. The Fairway Street <br />Widening project has been delayed due to a dedication setback posed by a private property <br />owner. According to the Public Works Department, this issue is near resolution and anticipated <br />completion of this project is June 15, 2007. It is being requested that the Fairway Street <br />Widening completion date be amended from January 31, 2005, to June 15, 2007. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT <br />There is no financial impact related to amending the Mt. Vernon Construction Management <br />Agreement. The Agency currently has approximately $59,424.63 of the $2.4 million in bond <br />proceeds available to redirect available funds to complete authorized projects within the Mt. <br />Vernon Project Area. Therefore, it is anticipated that the Agency will have sufficient funds to <br />complete all of the projects identified in the CMA. Appropriating $59,424.63 of the $2.4 million <br />for the CMA projects will consume all of the Agency's available bond funds in this Project Area. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT <br />The City is responsible for the performance of any required environmental review for the various <br />public improvement projects prior to their construction. Amending the Construction Management <br />Agreement will not result in any environmental impact. <br />CONSISTENCY WITH REDEVELOPMENT IMPLEMENTATION PLAN <br />Section 3.8.5 of the Agency Implementation Plan states that the Agency is to provide a broad <br />range of public infrastructure improvements to induce private investment,in the project area. <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Approve Agency Resolution No. 859 and City Resolution approving Amendment No. 2 to the Mt. <br />Vernon Corridor Public Works Projects Funding and Construction Management Agreement by <br />and between the City of Colton and the Redevelopment Agency for the City of Colton and <br />authorize the City Manager and Executive Director to make additional amendments authorizing <br />extension of time limits and reallocation of funds between the items approved by the Council <br />and Agency should the need arise. <br />Attachments <br />"A" Mt.
