CITY OF COLTON <br />(CONTRACT AGREEMENT NO. CA -007042507) <br />LAUREL STREET/PAUL J. ROGERS ELEMENTARY AND HILLCREST AVENUE STREET <br />IMPROVEMENT PROJECT <br />1. Parties and Date <br />This Contract is made and entered into this 8t` day of May 2007 by and between the <br />City of Colton, a municipal corporation ("City") and Olivas Valdez, Inc. ("Contractor"). <br />2. Recitals <br />2.1 City is a municipal corporation organized under the laws of the State of California, <br />with power to contract for services necessary to achieve its purpose. <br />2.2 Contractor is a professional contractor, experienced in general construction services <br />and is familiar with the plans of the City. <br />2.3 City desires to engage Contractor to Construct Laurel Street/Paul J. Rogers Elementary <br />and Hillcrest Avenue Street Improvement Project as set forth herein. <br />2.4 Contractor has obtained, and delivers concurrently herewith, performance and <br />payment bonds and evidences of insurance as required by the Contract. <br />3. Terms <br />3.1 Incorporation of Documents. This Contract includes and hereby incorporates in full <br />by reference the following documents, including all exhibits, drawings, specifications and documents <br />therein, and attachments and addenda thereto: <br />a. Notice of Inviting Bids <br />b. Instruction to Bidders <br />c. Contract Bid Forms <br />d. Contract <br />e. Contract Appendix <br />- General Conditions <br />- Special provisions <br />- City of Colton Standard Drawings <br />- Project Plan <br />- Faithful performance Bond <br />- Payment ( Labor and materials Bond) <br />3.2 Contractor's Basic Obligation, Scope of Work.
