R-137-07 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITYCOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON TO ACCEPT A GRAN <br />IN THE AMOUNT OF $100,000.00 FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DEPARTMENT O <br />JUSTICE, FOR THE CITIZEN OPTION FOR PUBLIC SAFETY (COPS) AND AMEND TH <br />2007/2008 FISCAL BUDGET. <br />WHEREAS, The Budget for the City of Colton for the Fiscal Year commencing July 1, 2007 <br />and ending June 30, 2008 was approved and adopted June 19, 2007; and <br />WHEREAS, The approved budget is in accordance with all applicable ordinances of the Ci <br />of Colton and all applicable statutes of the State; and <br />WHEREAS, On July 1, 2007, the State of California, Department of Justice awarded a grana <br />in the amount of $100,000.00 to the City of Colton Police Department for the Citizen Option for <br />Public Safety; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Colton does resolve as follows: <br />Section 1 It is necessary to approve and accept this State of California, Department of Justice <br />COPS grant in the amount of $100,000.00 to the Revenue Account 225-5890-000 <br />Section 2 It is necessary to make an amendment to the 2007/2008 Fiscal Year Budget <br />appropriating funds to account number 225-6070-6088-4930 for $100,000.00. <br />Section 3 The amendment is hereby approved, adopted and incorporated herein. <br />PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 16th day of October, 2007. <br />ATTEST: <br />CAROLINA R.
