ITEM #7 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 6, 2007 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL <br />FROM: Carolina R. Padilla, City Clerk <br />SUBJECT: APPROVE RESOLUTION AMENDING THE FY 2007-2008 <br />CITY CLERK BUDGET TO INCREASE THE ELECTION <br />BUDGET IN THE AMOUNT OF $4,000. <br />DATE: October 31, 2007 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At the Special Meeting of January 3, 2007, City Council called for a Special Election to fill the <br />vacancy in District 3. The estimated cost for the district election was $8,218. These funds were <br />not budgeted in the current FY 06-07. Recommendation was made and approved by Council to <br />increase the cost of the election at mid year in February 2007 in the amount of $10,000. The <br />Special Election was held on June 5, 2007. <br />DISCUSSION/ANALYSIS: <br />On September 24, 2007 an invoice was received from the San Bernardino County Registrar of <br />Voters dated September 18, 2007 in the amount of $13,448.00 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: <br />The Elections budget account 100-6010-6010-2401 will need to be increased in the amount <br />$4,000 from the general fund. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />Not Applicable. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST: <br />None. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Approve a Resolution amending the FY 2007-2008 City Clerk/Elections Expense in the amount <br />of $4,000. <br />Attachment: Resolution <br />REVIEW TEAM ONLY Q— <br />City Attorney: �`�i 0 Finance Director: D • R�UZS r! <br />City Manag .
