Staff requests authorization to submit the listed projects with the following priority rating: 1) traffic <br />signal at Mt Vernon Avenue and Palm Drive 2) traffic signal at La Cadena Drive and La Loma <br />Avenue; and 3) ttraffic signal at La Cadena Drive and Rancho Avenue. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />No environmental impact results from the submission of the grant applications. <br />CONFLICT OF INTEREST: <br />None. <br />FINANCIAL/FISCAL IMPACT: <br />At this time, the submittal of the applications will not have a financial impact. The City <br />anticipated providing a 10% local match for each identified project. The match for these traffic <br />signal projects are available through traffic impact fees and Measure I funds. The maximum <br />reimbursement for any HSIP project will be 90% with a maximum reimbursement amount for <br />any project of $900,000. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Staff respectfully recommends approval of the attached resolution authorizing submission of three <br />applications for the Highway Safety Improvement Program. <br />Attachments: <br />Exhibit "A" <br />Resolution <br />Report prepared by Suru Huntar — Engineering Department <br />Y <br />ICity Attorney: <br />(City Manager -.G <br />Finance Director: <br />OTHER: <br />
