ITEM #9 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />AGENDA REPORT <br />FOR THE CITY COUNCIL MEETING OF APRIL 1, 2008 <br />TO: HONORABLE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br />FROM: AMANDA RHINEHART; INTERIM PUBLIC WORKS <br />ADMINISTRATOR <br />SUBJECT: APPROVE RECORDATION OF GRANT DEEDS PROVIDING <br />EASEMENT FOR STORM DRAIN IMPROVEMENT PURPOSES <br />FROM PROPERTY OWNERS OF ASSESSOR PARCEL NUMBERS <br />(APN) 0160-132-27 AND 0160-132-16 ALONG PLEASANT VIEW <br />AVENUE AND ORANGE AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF COLTON. <br />DATE: MARCH 24, 2008 <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Storm drain improvements correspondent to the 8th Street Storm drain Project, between Pleasant <br />View Avenue and Orange Avenue, is pending the easement dedication for maintenance and <br />construction purposes by property owners along Pleasant View Avenue and Orange Avenue. The <br />proposed storm drain improvements include: installation of new curb, gutter, sidewalk, and 18" <br />storm drain pipe. <br />ANALYSIS/DISCUSSION: <br />The property owner of 203 Pleasant View Avenue (APN 0160-132-27), Genaro Losoya, and <br />property owner of 202 Orange Avenue (APN 0160-132-16), Randy H. Wyatt and Debra L. Wyatt, <br />have agreed to dedicate the necessary right-of-way easement at no cost to the City of Colton. A <br />signed copy of the grant deed is attached as Exhibit "A". The property owners identified above <br />have agreed to dedicate the easement for construction and maintenance use in order to <br />accommodate the installation of the required storm drain improvements. <br />ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT: <br />This action does not have an environmental impact. <br />
