ITEM #5 <br />CITY OF COLTON <br />COUNCIL/REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY/COLTON UTILITY AUTHORITY <br />SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES <br />AUGUST 4, 2008 <br />A Special Meeting of the City Council/Redevelopment Agency/Colton Utility Authority of <br />the City of Colton was held at 6:21 p.m., on the above -given date in the Ashley <br />Furniture Meeting Room, 1601 Ashley Way, Colton, CA 92324 with Mayor Chastain <br />presiding. Notice of Special Meeting was given on May 6, 2008, in compliance with <br />Government Code Section 54956. <br />ROLL CALL <br />Councilmembers present were, Suchil, Mitchell, Oliva, Toro, and Mayor Chastain. Also <br />present were City Manager Parrish, City Attorney Martinez and Chief Deputy City Clerk <br />Flores. <br />Absent: CM Yzaguirre and CM De La Rosa <br />PUBLIC COMMENT: <br />The following citizens addressed the council: None <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />POSSIBLE CONFLICT OF INTEREST DISCLOSURES FOR THE COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF AUGUST 4, 2008. <br />Mayor Chastain asked the members present if there were any agenda items that were a <br />conflict of interest pursuant to CMC Section 2.04.030. None disclosed. <br />MAYOR AND COUNCIL ITEMS: <br />Said Special Meeting shall be for the purpose of studying and or taking action on the <br />following matters: <br />Study Session: <br />Council Norms Policies, and Ethics Study Session 3. <br />The workshop was facilitated by Dr. Bill Mathis and his associate Janice Mathis. Dr. <br />Mathis started the workshop by presenting each member with a book titled, The Heart <br />of a Leader, by Ken Blanchard, he asked that they each choose two or three of the <br />quotes from the book and share their reasons for their choice.
