Z7� I <br />Office of Homeless Services OHS <br />County Be <br />Ofie of H—Ies S -1 <br />s <br />Accomplishments for 2007/2008 cont.. <br />■ Obtained resolutions in support of the San Bernardino County <br />Homeless Partnership from the cities of Hesperia, Rancho <br />Cucamonga, San Bernardino, Twentynine Palms, and Victorville. <br />■ Created and facilitated the work of five committees to identify <br />the needs of the county's homeless population as it relates to <br />prevention, outreach, income and supportive services, permanent <br />housing, and shortening the period of homelessness and rapid re- <br />housing. <br />• Assisted and provided administrative support to the City of <br />Barstow in identifying and recruiting community leaders and <br />project stakeholders to serve on the Barstow Homeless Mall project <br />team. <br />• Participated as an active member of the City of San Bernardino <br />and Salvation Army's Transitional Housing Planning Committee. <br />■ Participated as an active member of the Morongo Basin's <br />Aligning Resources Challenging Homelessness action group to <br />assist service providers with increasing awareness of homelessness <br />in the Morongo Basin. <br />■ Attended and/or facilitated meetings of the San Bernardino <br />County Homeless Partnership Provider Network and the <br />Policy/Legislative Network on a monthly and bi-monthly basis. <br />Goals for 2008/2009 <br />Seek funding from HUD on behalf of the San Bernardino County <br />Homeless Partnership Continuum of Care for projects to assist the <br />county's homeless with obtaining permanent housing and <br />supportive services. <br />Administer the bi-annual Point -in -Time Count the last week of <br />January 2009 to count the homeless in San Bernardino County as <br />required by HUD. <br />2 <br />
