EXHIBIT "A" <br />SCOPE OF SERVICES <br />Laboratory shall comply with the following requirements and provide all services listed under this <br />Scope of Services. <br />Requirements <br />Laboratory represents that it is State -certified and ELAP-accredited to perform all tests. <br />2. Laboratory shall maintain and keep on file chain of custody and laboratory analysis records, <br />accessible by the City, at Laboratory's office. <br />3. Laboratory shall assign an Account Manager to oversee and monitor the effectiveness of the <br />Agreement and to provide information on new services or alternatives that may reduce costs, <br />improve quality or speed availability of data. <br />4. Laboratory shall not subcontract to other laboratories for analysis Bac-T, Coliform, E. Coli, <br />Perchlorate, Iron, Manganese, and Nitrate drinking water samples. <br />5. Laboratory must employ all EPA -approved testing methods for all drinking water samples <br />submitted for analysis. <br />6. Laboratory represents that its lab is located within twenty (20) miles of Colton's City Hall <br />and agrees to maintain a lab within this twenty -mile limit throughout the term of the <br />Agreement. <br />Scope of Services <br />1. Laboratory shall provide all sample containers and bottles, preservatives, and sample <br />collection instructions to the City. <br />2. Drinking water samples will be collected and refrigerated by the City's Water Department <br />staff. However, under special circumstances, Laboratory may be required to collect the <br />drinking water samples on-site. <br />3. The type of drinking water sample analysis and approximate number or frequency of required <br />tests are specified in Exhibit C of this Agreement. <br />4. Laboratory must comply with and utilize all approved State and ELAP methods for drinking <br />water (i.e., Standard Methods). <br />5. City's Water Department staff will deliver the drinking water samples four days a week <br />(Monday thru Thursday) to Laboratory. However, Laboratory must be open seven (7) days a <br />week (Monday thru Sunday), including holidays, to receive delivery of drinking water <br />samples from the City. <br />RVPUB\NGS\.529334 A-1 (BBK revised July 2, 2001) <br />
