1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4. <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br />RESOLUTION NO. 94-89- Oct <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLTON <br />ACCEPTING THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY AND CONSERVATION BLOCK <br />GRANT AND AMENDING THE BUDGET FOR FISCAL YEAR <br />COMMENCING JULY 1, 2009 AND ENDING JUNE 30, 2010 <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Energy has approved an Energy Efficiency and <br />Conservation Block Grant in the amount of $485,400 to the City of Colton Electric Utility with <br />cost-sharing funds of $200,000 for three programs designed to: (1) reduce fossil fuel <br />emissions in a manner that is environmentally sustainable and maximize benefits for local <br />and regional communities; (2) reduce total energy use; and (3) improve energy efficiency <br />and; <br />WHEREAS, the budget for the City of Colton for the fiscal year commencing July 1, <br />2009 and ending June 30, 2010 was approved and adopted, and; <br />WHEREAS, the reallocation of appropriations between departmental activities may be <br />made by the City Manager, and amendments (increases/decreases) to the budget shall be by <br />approval and resolution of the City Council; and <br />WHEREAS, adoption of energy efficiency goals will continue Colton Electric Utility's <br />leadership and commitment in increasing energy efficiency, reducing global warming <br />pollutants, and is in the best interest of our customers and the City of Colton. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />COLTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: <br />The Administration Division Budget of the Electric Department for Fiscal Year <br />2009-2010 is hereby amended. Expenditure Account 520-8000-8001-2410-0930-200 <br />and Revenue Account 520-6797 will be increased in the amount of $685,400 each. <br />
