Staff Report to the Chairperson and Board Members
Subject: Financial Advisory Services with UFI
Date: December 22, 2009
Page 2
Plan. Part of putting together an Implementation Plan includes evaluating the project areas'
financial capacity and tax increment limits to determine to what extent it will be able to complete
projects that are to be identified as part of the Plan. Given the depth of financial review that will
be required to complete the Implementation Plan, staff believes it to be a prudent use of the
Agency's financial resources to transition its financial advisory needs to UFI. CSG will still be
retained for housing consultant services.
FISCAL IMPACTS
CSG's PSA will be decreased by $25,000 (this item will be brought to the Agency Board at its 1-
19-10 meeting) while this First Amendment to the PSA with UFI will be increased by $25,000.
There will not be any additional financial impact to the Agency as a result of this action.
ALTERNATIVES
1. Provide alternative direction to staff.
ATTACHMENTS
First Amendment to the Professional Services Agreement.
